Citation style conversion
In-text citations and the full reference list rebuilt in APA, Chicago, Harvard, IEEE, MLA, AMA, Nature, ACS, or a Vancouver variant. There is no single style called Vancouver — journals use either bracketed or superscript numerals — so we name both rather than pick one for you.
Rebuilt from the registered record
An entry is only restyled when its DOI resolves to a registered record we can render it from. Entries that do not resolve are left exactly as you wrote them and listed by name, because rewriting them would mean inferring fields from your text and any wrong guess would be invisible to you.
Journal page layout
Margins, page size, heading fonts and spacing, line spacing, and running heads applied from the target journal’s own Word template — where we hold one. Where we do not, your layout is left alone and the report says so.
Renumbering, done as one change
A numbered style orders references by first citation, so restyling can re-sequence the list. When it does, every in-text marker is renumbered with it — or the list is left in your order and the reason given. A reordered list with stale markers is worse than no reordering.
Consistency sweep
After conversion the whole document is rechecked, because style changes frequently introduce inconsistencies of their own.

What if a reference is incomplete?
It is flagged rather than converted. A reference missing a year or page range cannot be rendered correctly in the target style, and inventing the missing data would be worse than telling you about it.
Can it match any journal?
We keep a checked table of journals and the style each one requires, and add to it. An unknown journal returns nothing rather than a plausible default — silently formatting your manuscript to the wrong journal’s style is the one outcome you would have no reason to check for. If yours is not listed, send the guidelines through the contact form and we will add it.
Does it apply the journal’s page layout too?
Where we hold that journal’s Word template, yes: margins, page size, heading fonts and spacing, and running heads. Where we do not, the citations and references are still reformatted and your page layout is left exactly as you had it — the report tells you which of the two happened rather than leaving you to guess.
Will it break my Word formatting?
We edit your own file rather than generate a new one, so anything we do not touch is carried through untouched — images, equations, charts, embedded fonts, and your own section breaks all survive. You also get a tracked-changes copy, so you can see every alteration in Word and reject any of them. Keep your original regardless; you should always have a copy you can return to.
Does it handle reference managers?
Field codes from Zotero, Mendeley, and EndNote are best resolved to plain text before uploading. Live field codes may reassert the old formatting when you next open the document.
